Olakunle Faisal Uthman is an Associate and a member of the firm’s Private Equity, Mer-gers & Acquisitions, Corporate Advisory and Oil and Gas teams.

He specialises in cross-border and domestic equity and asset acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, strategic alliances, restructuring, investments, and financing for energy and industrial projects matters. He has been instrumental in the acquisition by a private equity fund of shares in a prominent Nigerian insurance company, advising an interna-tional distilling company on its establishment and operations of a hectolitre brewery in Nigeria, advising an American oil company on its acquisition of participating interest in the production sharing contract of an oil mining lease, and general corporate advice to an international oil and gas service company on the sale of oil rig drilling equipment.

Olakunle was a crucial part of the team which advised on the African Capital Alliance (CAPE III) exit from Wakanow, the leading online travel agency in West Africa. He also advised on the implications in Nigeria of the merger between Linde Plc and Praxair Inc.

Olakunle has published various legal articles and works on humanitarian and environ-mental aspects of law. Some of his recent publications include:
