Onyinye Okafor is a Parner in the firm’s Project Finance and Corporate Advisory department. She was a core member of the team that advised both foreign and local lenders on the provision of loans, to a major petrochemical operator in both the acquisition and project financing phases.
Her mergers and acquisitions practice has involved advising several local banks during mergers and consolidations in the Nigerian banking sector in 2005.
Onyinye was also a member of the team that advised a global finance institution on the financing and restructuring of the debt provided for cement manufacturing project. She has also provided advice in a number of finance transactions involving operators in the fast food industry and the telecommunications and power sectors. She participates in due diligence reviews carried out on various Nigerian companies.
Onyinye has written and contributes to articles on cross-border finance and security including guarantees.
