Our reputation as the firm of choice for upstream and downstream oil and gas projects in Nigeria is due partly to our strong industry contacts and to the knowledge and experience we have gained due to our involvement in large scale projects such as the establishment of a 270MW barge-mounted power plant, Nigeria's first independent power project; the establishment of a 450MW power plant by Agip; and in negotiations for the establishment of various other power projects, including one by Shell Petroleum.

We were recently retained by the World Bank to advise on strategies for the development of Nigeria's downstream gas sector and, as a follow up to that exercise, are currently involved in drafting a Gas Act for Nigeria.  and are also currently advising on certain aspects of the West African Gas Pipeline project. These projects, however, have built on the primacy that we have achieved our day-to day upstream, downstream and electric sector practice for clients as diverse as multinational and indigenous sector operators and service companies and even the National Electric Power Authority.
